The Project: In the past year, Nicholas Pools Inc. worked on a swimming pool located on a waterfront property in the Toms River area. The owner had demolished a home and begun construction on a new one. The home was in the final stages of construction when Hurricane Sandy hit.
The Details: This swimming pool was a freeform design with liner-covered steps, sun shelf and a waterfall. The pool was constructed using American products, manufactured by local companies out of New Jersey. The pump and filtration system are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Building a swimming pool next to a body of water requires a certain level of expertise, because when water is excavated, a certain volume of water rushes back in. The company used a dry well and well points to extract the water from the hole so it could excavate and build the swimming pool.
The Impact: The swimming pool will provide years of enjoyment to the customer. It provides a safe environment for adults and children to swim, lounge and play.
